Monroe City is a city in Marion, Monroe, and Ralls counties in the U.S. state of Missouri. The population was 2,588 at the 2000 census. The Marion and Ralls County portions of Monroe City are part of the Hannibal Micropolitan Statistical Area.

What is utilities law?

Public utilities provide electric, gas, water or telephone service to customers in a specified area. Utilities have a duty to provide safe and adequate service on reasonable terms to anyone who lives within the service area on without discriminating between customers.
