It lies along unpaved roads north of State Route 30 in the Grouse Creek Mountains. Its elevation is 5,331 feet (1,625 m), and it is located at 41°42′34″N 113°53′0″W / 41.70944°N 113.883333°W / 41.70944; -113.883333 (41.7093642, -113.8833441). Although it is unincorporated, it has a post office, with the ZIP code of 84313. Grouse Creek was first settled in 1876.
