Ocean Gate is a Borough in Ocean County, New Jersey, United States. As of the United States 2000 Census, the borough population was 2,076. Ocean Gate was incorporated as a borough by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 28, 1918, from portions of Berkeley Township. An additional portion of Berkeley Township was annexed on February 28, 1953.
